"Hick Country Sucks"

Film: Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Lake

Height/Weight: Stand to about a man's size when upright.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: When in Florida, there's more to look out for aside from blistering summer heat, insufferable rednecks, and alligators. There might also be a couple of giant aquatic mutant leeches lurking around the bayou. And they don't care what your blood type is.

History: A theory to the leech's creation is that they came into contact with radiation, and simply went from there. The leeches made their home together in an underwater grotto, where they dragged their prey to store and suck blood from.

Notable Kills: The leeches like to suck blood by giving their victims big ol' hickies on the neck. Ew.

Final Fate: The grotto is blown up, but while the two leeches are seen floating dead in the water, there is a heavy implication that there are more leeches lying in wait...

Powers/Abilities: The leeches are adept swimmers, and that's it.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2-Despite the slow and painful death they make sure of, the leeches are horribly slow on land, and most of the time look like men in garbage bags meant to look like walking cephalopod tentacles.

Trivia: -For millennia, leeches have been used for medical purposes, as they can suck out excess blood and prevent blood clots.

-The largest leech every discovered is the giant Amazon Leech, which can grow more than a foot and a half long.

Less conquer and more survive.

"You found any fish yet, Larry? Larry?"
"Demon" is a bit of a harsh word for them, in all honesty.

Aren't those lamprey eels or something?

A feeding session in all its splendor.
Things certainly got cosmic for a moment.
